Performance of Seed-cum-fertilizer Drill, Zero Till Drill and Broadcasting Method for Sowing Greengram

Pulses provide the required protein supplement to vegetarian people. Pulse is most important food crop in India and from all integral part of cropping system farmers over country. Greengram or mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) major pulse state Odisha covering total area 8.36 lakh ha with average productivity 434 kg per ha, which about 40 percent state. Present study was conducted for zero-till drill seed- cum- fertilizer sowing on yield greengram year 2016-17 village Niladeipur Achyutpur Jajpur district Rabi season. It found that having highest benefit-cost ratio 2.07 as compared 1.90 seed 1.77 broadcasting. Use zero till green gram economical costs fuel, labour inputs are saved. can save around Rs. 1750/- hectare field preparation.
